Hotel Information

Last updated: October 31, 2020

The health and safety of our guests and employees always have and will always be a priority at the Evergreen at The Thompson House. With COVID-19 (Coronavirus) spreading all over the world, we are making some adjustments to our operations for the 2020/21 winter season. We'll keep you updated as new information becomes available.

Before Leaving Your Home

We want you to have a wonderful vacation at The Thompson House, but for the health and safety of all guests and staff at The Thompson House, we ask that you postpone your vacation if you are experiencing any symptoms of COVID-19 (Coronavirus). These symptoms include cough, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, fever, chills, muscle pain, sore throat, and new loss of taste or smell. Please contact us, so we know you will not be traveling. We will give you a gift certificate in the amount of your deposit, and hopefully see you sometime in the future.

Arrival and Departure

We ask that only one person from each reservation comes into the office to check-in and check out, with their ID and form of payment. Guests should wear a mask when indoors. Only one reservation will be checked in or out at a time. If there is someone already being helped, please stand no less than 6 feet away from them. Your key will be sanitized before being given to you.

As always, rooms will be cleaned before each guest is allowed to enter. Whenever possible, rooms will be vacant for two days after checkout and cleaned before guests arrive. For the safety of our guests and staff, daily housekeeping will NOT be available at this time. Guests who wish to have their sheets or towels changed will be able to do so by contacting the front desk. Staff will bring guests new linen and a bag to collect used linen. We ask that if you need your trash emptied that you put your trash can outside your door and notify the front desk.

Guests are asked to maintain social distancing at all times. Any time a guest is indoors (not including their room) they must wear a mask. There will be no continental breakfast, food or coffee served at the hotel at this time. A list of restaurants will be available on our website for guests. The lobby and fire place will be operating at minimal occupancy. The restrooms in the lobby will be available for guests who are checking in or out only. Guests should use the restrooms in their room. The guest computer in the lobby will not be available at this time.

We have reduced our activities for this winter season. While our sleigh riding will be available, guests are encouraged to bring their own sleds. We will not be setting up our ice skating rink this season. Access to the lobby, fireplace and games will be limited when available.

Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)

All staff will wear masks at all times when interacting with guests. Please do not be offended when staff does not shake your hand; it is for your safety as well as their safety. Guests are to bring their own mask (due to supply issues) to wear when indoors or unable to social distance.

Please take note that some changes may be made to our operations that are not listed here. If you have any questions or concerns, you can always reach us at 518-734-4510 or
